Focusing on the training & education of community groups in the preparation & presentation of their energy generation projects in the State’s Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS). Building on our success in the 2020 RESS-1 Auction - we provide comprehensive community focused turnkey engagement covering the following areas -

• Electricity Grid Connectivity • The Planning Process
• Financials & Funding • Bid preparation & submission (RESS)
• Contracts • Project management and buildout

Project Manager on the Interreg N.W Europe cVPP project - (Community Virtual Power Plant).
Funding procurement –
Developed the SEAI approved Energy Master Plan for Limerick City & County, with a focus on generation – secured the maximum grant of €25k.
Developed the LEADER approved funding stream – secured the maximum grant of €250,000.
Limerick Community Grocery t/a The Urban Co-op (www.theurbanco-op.ie)
Funding procurement - €96,000 from Limerick Local Authority.
2015 - SEAI – national winner – community engagement and capacity building program.
Current status - t/o €1M p/a, with membership of 2,400.
Organiser of international community co-operative field trips
Cleveland Evergreen Co-operatives, Cleveland USA (www.evgoh.com) and the Brooklyn Community Co-operative Food Store in Brooklyn NYC, USA (www.foodcoop.com) - with reciprocal return trips to Ireland/Limerick. Purpose - to explore established and nascent community co-operative enterprise models in English speaking regions.
Organiser of the cross border inter community field trip to the Mondragon Cooperative Federation in the Spanish Basque country (www.mondragon-corporation.com/en/) - with reciprocal return trips to Ireland/Limerick. Purpose – to explore established community co-operative enterprise models in conflicted societies. Attendees included UCD (school of education), UCC (school of co-operative studies)’
